HST didn't shy away from anyone who disagreed with him - in fact he THRIVED on debate. He felt that a profoundly inherent American characteristic is diversity. The man drank whiskey with Pat Buchanan for chrissakes and he did it on purpose. If you look at his roster of friends they are the most diverse set of folks you could ever imagine. He was not on Charlie Rose by accident, guys.

Charlie Rose fails to uphold any journalistic standards or integrity. Vested interests have added him to their payrolls. Thompson barely gets a word in and no productive discussion comes from this interview, just an ego boost for Charlie Rose.
