In part one, Holly Morris ventures to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This section of the Appalachian Trail is great if you are looking for a 3-5 day trek in this area and you want to catch some of the beautiful fall colors of the White Mountains. Holly begins her trek at the trail head at Franconia Ridge. She hikes up 4000 feet to the Greenleaf Hut where she stays overnight. From there, Holly heads to Zealand Falls before finally attempting to climb the highest mountain in the Northeast United States Mount Washington.

In part two Cristina LaMonica embarks on a three day journey through the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. Her travels begin at Kingfisher Landing. With her guide Christina canoes thirty miles through the swamp, and spends the night at Maul Hammock. After learning about the local snake population from wildlife expert Fred Wetzel, they head through Big Water Lake, on to Billys Island where Cristina gets an idea of what swamp life was like in the olden days.
