Launch of Apollo 13. This mission gained fame after an explosion in the Service Module while en-route to the moon. Lovell, Swigert and Haise used the Lunar Module as a lifeboat and managed to splashdown on 17 April.

  • Hehe...if that would be possible - why not! This could have been a great lunar mission :-( But they did great despite the failure and the ordeal, and I personally admire their courage.

  • This mission wasn't a failure. If those guys hadn't made it back, THEN it would have been a failure.
