The Israeli government had mounted two rescue operations--Operation Moses (1984) and Operation Solomon (1991)--which , Ethiopian Jews (Falashas=exiles) were airlifted to Israel to live among other Jews, regardless of SKIN COLOR. Then there are the Abayudaya of Uganda who chose to convert without having met a Jew

No one knows the origins of the Ethiopian Jews, they could be like the Lemba ("Native" Jews who integrated with their newfound African neighbors) or the Abayuda

Also, most sub Saharan Africans come from the lineage of Ham which birthed Egyptians and Shem who birthed the Hebrews. Ethiopians were originally called Kusheem, who are from the seed of Kush a decendant of Shem. Kush means Black and Ham (burnt black), They were sons of Noah. Again, this was not a religion. To mouhdie and laughingbear> Correction The ancient Jews were not called Jews they were called Yehudeem - which means Judeans which denoted a tribe as in ancestral national identity. It is deceptive to use the term Jew which was used to refer to european converts to judaism around the 11th century AD. The Hebrew language started with Abraham the first Hebrew. @HILAOV Nice try though. She doesn't sing, nor move like an Ethiopian. I know them well. She is a native of Israel. Her people are indegenous to Israel.. So why is it that we dont know about them!? Think About It.. What's her native tongue? Hebrew!?.... Oh ok.... she looks, moves, and sings exactly like an African Amer. Music don't lie. Heard any Ethiopian music lately. A Beautiful people, but different heart and style of music.
