(read... or don't)
The fallboard (the piece covering my fingertips) is a visual problem I am dealing with. Thanks for understanding :)
Another great children's song. This probably has some of the more interesting harmonies of the ones I've recorded so far. #3 had some interesting harmony as well.
Of particular interest to me were the triads with single half step chromatic notes in them. For example an E major triad with a G natural added. Chick uses the E triad in first inversion with the G on the bass. So...think
G / G# B E
Cluster chords like this were were/used by many modern players like Chick, Herbie, and of course Monk. Their variations are plentiful and too complicated to cover here. It may be a more interesting topic for my new piano blog here: tjjazzpiano.wordpress.com
There is currently an article on scale practice up which you may or may not find useful.
Thanks for listening.
Man please keep doing them, I love Children's Songs and your vids are so great and so educational, your analyses are really deep. Can't wait for number 6, one of my favourites.

Thanks. #6 should be up soon, it's one of my favorites as well. I'm glad someone reads the analysis too. :)
