I think this is true. Life is a good teacher. The world whips and hurts and eventually kills you. Love gets you through the suffering. Parents should raise children with love and forgive them instead of beating them, especially when they are sorry and whippings won't make them change their mind- because they have already repented!
Whippings teach about life because the world whips and crushes you. Forgiveness and nonviolence though teaches you about LOVE.

p.s. it seems that the people that freak out about your video and get defensive about it are the people who were hit as children and don't want to admit that their parents could be wrong. accept it.

Proverbs 13:24 One who spares the rod hates his son, but one who loves him is careful to discipline him. A parent who doesn't spank a child when needed hates the child.

I personally wouldn't simply disipline my children based on a proverb in the bible. Disipline and boundaries are essential, but corporeal punishment is not and there is scientific evidence to base my claim that it can also cause psychological problems.
