can kevin or someone who has alot of experience on drums settle an agruement i have this dude i know says melodeath and metalcore drums r harder to play then death metal and i say death metal is harder

It depends who is writing the drum parts. Some of Travis Barkers drum parts are more difficultthan a lot of death/hardcore/metalcore/etc. drumming. So the answer is that Chimairas parts are easier (technically ) than Red chord. But you don't have to be a great time keeper to play for the red chord... and you DO in Chimaira. For most drummers it is much more difficult to keep time than to play really fast or crush on double bass. Kevin Talley

@drummerkevintalley What size sticks do you usually use? I have big hands and I've played with bigger sized sticks and still get blisters and callouses. Should I step up a size bigger or perhaps go smaller? Also, what other types of music do you practice to to improve your own style and composition for your projects? What are some good warm up techniques rudimentary that will help with coordination and overall speed and dexterity?

The thing thats always caught my eye with kevin talley is not only is he a skilled drummer but i havent seen a live video of him yet where hes not actin wild as hell and you can tell hes genuinely having fun. you can be the best drummer in the world but if youre not havin fun on stage then the crowds just not gonna get into it. so cheers to kevin for keepin it crazy
