An original composition by Gerry Dempsey. Video still artwork also created by Gerry.

Lyrics

How will it be for the last Chimpanzee?
The last one outside captivity.
Soon will be one where once were three -
Species.

Or the last Orangs, as the chainsaw gangs,
Flatten the forest and drain the streams.
Soon will be two where once were three -
Dimensions.

How will it feel for the last Gorilla?
Marooned on his lonely hill,
As his nearest living relatives
Are closing in for the kill.
Soon will be one where once there were five ape species.

Is this how it felt for the last Neanderthal,
Marooned on her lonely hill,
All her little family,
Fallen, cold and still.
Leaving the land to the hand of Homo Sapiens.

Soon will be one were once were many species.
Soon will be two where once were three dimensions.
