During their press conference at the Geneva Motor Show (March 5-15), Koenigsegg unveiled the new Koenigsegg Quant Concept, a four-seater solar electric car, in co-operation with NLV Solar AG.
The project was born when NLV Solar AG commissioned the environmentally aware Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg to develop and design a car of the future, incorporating NLV Solars groundbreaking, proprietary technology in the felds of photovoltaics and accumulators.
In 2008, the two companies signed a co-operation agreement to create a test vehicle for a unique propulsion system which makes optimum use of
the solar technologies developed by NLV Solar AG, allied with an innovative accumulator unit. The groundbreaking thin-flm solar-cell coating is being implemented in one of Koenigseggs signature avant-garde designs.

Now that thin-flm solar-cells can be used this car has a chance of being made. Though they wont be enough to run it they will be enough to charge it seeing as most cars spend more time sitting than moving on an average day.

Koenigsegg is a real serious manufacturer. NLV Solar AG however - well it doesnt look "right" - and the specs are not very realistic even with "tomorrows" technology- but it is a cool concept.
Just "show me the money!"! :)
