Genital Herpes Ad

A mock-genital herpes (cream... pain reliever... whatever) ad that myself and a few of my friends made at The Workshops in Maine. We were part of the YoFi group. This was an in-camera edit (for those of you who don't know, that means you have to start and stop the scene exactly as you want it in the final product, because you can't edit it on a computer, hence: in-camera. this explains slight lag in start and end of shots)

What you did by posting that commercial is enabling ignorance. 1 out of 4 people have genital herpes and 1 out of 3 Americans have oral herpes - Fact. Herpes is not that bad and is nothing that should be laughed at or joked about the truth is many people have it and you might have it one day. 50% of people age 40 and up have it- Fact. I AM DISGUSTED by your ignorance.

Keycola, if you have not been tested for herpes with the HSV1 or HSV2 igG blood test, you do not know if you have it or not. Many people have herpes, as other people on here have stated, and don't even know because for those many people it shows little to no signs (at least for a long time). It's the unlucky few who actually breakout that usually find out the hard way. Herpes is a tricky virus. If you want to know for sure get the igG blood test. Don't get the igM test.

This is silly and it seems to be the motto some people have. Either that or they are just in denial. Don't ignore your body or put other people at risk. Go get the HSV1 and/or HSV2 igG blood test (not the faulty igM test) and find out. The igG test is the best. while you're at it, get tested for other STDs also.
