Elected to the job less than two years earlier himself, U.S. Sen. Barack Hussein Obama(D-IL) spent some of his days in 2006 stumping for Senate hopeful Harold Ford Jr.(D) in Tennessee. Both being avid sports fans is unrelated to 2006 NFL Draft seeing the Kansas City Chiefs take OLB Tamba BOimah Hali (#91) with the 20th pick; the New England Patriots take RB Laurence Maroney with the 21st pick; the San Francisco 49ers take LB MANny LAWson (b. 7/3/84 in Omaha, NE)at #23 with pick from WAS via DEN

@skillet54 I would agree but he wasn't pandering...He was giving a concession speech.....

@lischeyboy615 Wow. What insight you have. You're a PhD in political science, aren't you?

All of you have all of these baseless negative things to say about Bob Corker. Bob Corker is an honourable man, who as mayor did many wonderful things in terms of housing, which helped many minorities. He has continued his great record of public service as being an outstanding junior senator for Tennessee.

not sure what to make of your comment????
1st time i laid eyes on harold i knew he was black...

if Mexican-Americans flew giant Mexican flags where the u.s. flag should be...there would be outrage ..i don't think evry1 who flies that flag is racist...i do think they are insensitive and un-patriotic ..which country are they supporting by displaying it? caskets coming back from Iraq and afghnstn are draped with which flag?
-
i know white folks who feel the same way about the confederate flag as i do..so which context are you referring to? you don't say..it was a proud moment for 'some' african americans..if we 'all' supported him for just being black..that would be wrong..if he had said ' i will not speak anywhere that flag is displayed' its symbolism is still painful to some and America is one country one flag' i'd have respect for him..but he didn't..he squandered that opportunity for a vote..
-
youre taking the flag way out of context and that was a proud moment for african americans. All I was sayin is that I think Ford would be a sucessful president and I think it would have better better for the first african american president to be a sucessful one.

why is it a shame for the african american community that harold was not the 1st black president?? I'm black and i'd never vote for harold...for any office(see my other posts) not to argue with you...but don't speak for me...a black man pandering for votes standing in front of a confederate flag...shows me no respect whatever as a black man and as i said in my other post 'as an American' cold day in hell b4 i vote for this asshole !
-
p.s.
watch the young turks video regarding harold...and ask yourself what self respecting black man nad what American stands there in front of that flag (confederate) and panders for votes that support that symbol. harold squandered a valuable opportunity when he choose not to tell them, he would never appear anywhere that flag is displayed!!
It is so messed up that he lost. He was beating Bob Corkers Ass until they brought those commercials out that he was with some white lady. Had all those people with those hidden racist thoughts scared and saying he's not going to fuck my daughter. He lost because of a bunch of Bigots in COuntry ass TN.

I love the 2 guys too, but together, it's a losing ticket!!Obama needs an older white guy as a running mate.Don't mention Hillary's name, she's done.
