another winning coach bites the dust. he joins the ranks of earle bruce, lloyd carr, frank solich, etc. mark richt is in trouble at georgia. the thing that really rankles me is that wannstedt is one of the good guys. the kids liked him. he wasn't a 'win at all costs' type.
who's got a tougher row to hoe, recruiting wise, than Pitt football? they're 150 miles from Columbus and State College and 75 miles from Morgantown.
the decision to replace him was LUDICROUS!

so sad..shame on you guys ripping him...you think walt harris was any good? BULL SHIT..the only reason we got into the fiesta bowl was because of a fluke in games..Pitt hasnt been shit in football since the 70's..he was on the right track ..just had a minor set back this year...this was a mistake..the man grew up here went to school here..said this will be his last stop..he was the most loyal person you will ever find in sports..never again will u find someone like this..

@Snicka836 I'm Pretty Upset that he's gone, but Pitt was expected to win the Big East and go to a BCS Bowl this year and they didn't come through. Still what makes them think that Hiring a new Coach will put Pitt back in that Direction?
