Electric Formula Vee Racecar - the beginning of something very, very cool...

OK, so I've been a bit sidetracked since finishing the EV Capri... meet the Formula EV!!
It runs the same electric motor and controller as I have in the EV Capri - but is a hell of a lot more fun!
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a 100% zero emisson racing series, huh? Hmmm...interested parties (drivers, sponsors etc) feel free to email me. This could be the start of something very, very cool...

where did you test this? i saw the ev capri in beacon hill but what about this?

@isitrellythatgood We tested it at HART at St Ives. Sounds like you've seen the EV Capri in my driveway! Do I know you??

It's not silent but there are not as much audio cues from the engine to help a driver drive s car on the limit there is no time to look at gauges most good drivers drive by ear as well as arse sensors!

The gas engine is for people with very small brains. Let's see in what areas electric beats gas? More power,more torc, less parts,perfect weight distribution, in vehicles, less maintenance, easy replacement of motors, and batteries, less weight. Duh gas is stupid expensive, and destructive to the environment. I won't even start to mention how many dictatorships in the world are funded solely by fossil fuels.

@djyul I would venture to say that by using an established Vee chassis with some slight body modifications helped to keep R&D cost down quite a bit. Not really so stupid, rather smart Id say.

Go build your own chassis.

These kind of sanctioned races are EXACTLY what's needed to give the electric vehicle industry a kick-ass boost. I know I'd go to see an all-electric race in different classes, from genuine converted 'stock' car conversions to factory teams and Formula V and even sprints. Bring 'em on!
