  • I just picked up my own (used) Ruger Redhawk in .44 magnum the other day. This video is going to be very helpful reference. I don't have to confidence to pull it all apart like that yet though. I think I'll probably shoot it a couple times first, simple clean it and send it to my good gunsmith to do a detail strip and clean. Then maybe I'll build the confidence to do this.

  • I realize you probably checked it before saying to check if its unloaded, but maybe you should do that for the camera BEFORE sweeping the entire room and pointing it at yourself to show it off lol!

Regardless, great gun! I've got an 82' Redhawk in 44 mag. Love it!

  • The Super Redhawk does indeed have the 2-spring design. The Redhawk is the only Ruger double-action revolver with the single-spring design. In point of fact, internally the Super Redhawk more closely resembles the GP100 and SP101 than it does the Redhawk. All 3 were designed as the "next generation" of double action revolvers after the Redhawk. (Ironically, the external appearance of the original GP100 was like a scaled down Redhawk.) Good vid.
