@00019972b It is well known that whale meat contain mercury in Japan. The gov gives the indication how much to eat since some time ago. It is about 100g per day if a healthy person eats it everyday. (Whale meat is not for everyday meal for most of Japanese.) Much more mercury was found in Taiji residents than other Japanese but they develop no symptoms of poisoning. Some considered that mercury in whale meat is less toxic as it is combined with other chemicals but it is not clearly explained.

@RecentlySeen Clinical Toxicology Dept at Hokkaido University has sued the film agency (of the Cove) for defamation of character. He said that he was deceived by the film makers when he was interviewed by them for the movie. His opinion is we should not eat too much whale meat.

I don't think #5 is that good because then everyone calls you media whores. It's okay to be in the news, but don't go out of your way to get in the news.

OK let's all put aside the legal and illegal for a moment.
What about right and wrong?
Is it right to kill thousands of Whales, whether to eat or for science?
Are there zero other sources of food?
Is there a way to conduct research without killing the subjects?
It's proven that Whales are already struggling to survive. Why add to the problem by cutting their numbers?
These are points no one can refute (unless strictly to be hateful or combative)

You also forgot that SSCS has ex veterans from the US Navy

bando de fila da puta esses caçadores de baleias..
These guys worth our respect. We need people who are willing to stand up and fight for the rights of innocent dolphins and whales.
I personally really appreciate what the Sea Shepherds are doing and i'm sure there are many others who are proud of what they do, so i hope they'll KEEP IT UP! Good for them! :)
