@Midnite4Life777 So k15sanahu not "telling" anything, nothing substantial that proves anything. His perspective of Hawaii is based off the present reality, just like yours.
If I were to ask both of you a simple question: What is the origin of the names "Maoli, Kanaka" and where was the original dispersal point of the outrigger culture? Would you know?
LOL! Probably not. LOL! It sure wasn't southeast asia.
-
@Midnite4Life777 I never said the chant was Hawaiian. LOL! silly person.
All you have to do, hon, is check the dna and south pacific tradition as well as archaeology. It's all there. But you are not able to make sense of it, because it connects to ancient peoples and cultures outside of the south pacific.
But what would you know, you're probably mixed with multiple things like a lot of the rest.
-
@Midnite4Life777 Too many people, make the mistake of wishing to believe that the way islanders look today is the way they've always looked. That is FAAAR from the Truth. Even the ancient DNA compared to modern DNA reflects that.
Too many of the present population have a perception of the pacific that is only based off the present, cuz it's the current generation you live in. For a lot of you, if you were sent 1,000 years in the past, you'd be foreigners to the south pacific.
-
@Midnite4Life777 No, sorry, hon, by saying that, you are NOT.
You're most likely just an expert on the fairy tales of THEORIES created from the imaginations of the western scientific industry, that you've simply memorized in your studies.
Those photos were closer to the time prior to pacific exploitation & assimilation, so they are more accurate. I have the original photos, and I recognize the attire and instruments as distinctively Hawaiian.

@thotsins Sry those are not Pure Hawaiians, I am an expert in polynesian history and all of this and the Video is jus ignorance! Jus like the first Haoles and Missionaries who brought the fake word of God to my people, thus damning millions via Catholicism and Mormonism... lmao you telling me and the above Hawaiian that this IS HAWAIIAN! How dare you...

little did they know is those cave beast brought a whole lot of diseases to kill the beautiful paradise people
-
@k15sanahu you forget that hawaii had a black queen before your european masters took over and took her from power and completely erase the black decendents of hawaii. you people seem to forget that the world is 90% colored and the 10% conquered every where and killed people with so many diseases. geez!
-
@k15sanahu The perception of what is "pure Hawaiian" has been blurred simply because westerners who have put themselves as "authorities" over the pacific simply refuse to tell all the presences that were in the pacific before Europeans arrived. They've found multiple presences, but they refuse to reveal to the public completely who they were. So all we know based off the little they've provided is that you had some "black" & some "mongoloid."

@k15sanahu Hawaiians did not just have one look, even the voyages to hawaii from Tahiti document some dark, some light. But yes, the father back in time you go—the less they look like Bernice Pauahi Bishop. There are documents of visits to polynesia well before Europeans arrived. People make the mistake of having a perception that these more modern photos rep. "pure Hawaiian." Europeans started that.
I have Hawaiian friend who is pure, & SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE THE DEPICTION AT
1:32.
I find it annoying that the documentary filmmakers included that clip of hula 'auana while Prof. Teaiwa is talking at 2.20. I think her comments would have been better illustrated by a clip of hula kahiko. Even a short segment conveying the grace and power of a disciplined halau oerforming kahiko would've been worth a thousand words in terms of showing how profoundly wack that Hollywood BS was (and is).

@k15sanahu Yes, those are PURE Hawaiians, hon. This is not my documentary, but I do have the original photos of those clips. They were taken by Choris, Louis in the 17-1800's of early Hawaiians.
