I lost a old friend. Henry lee. He didn't deserve to be shot, noone does. All he wanted in life was to have fun and go far with people he loved. The bullies in schools should be held responsible for this incident but not even this event will change people. That's how bad the world is, most minds can't understand this. As long as theres violence in lifestyles there will always be murders. May the victims rest in peace.

I agree that more could have been done about his mental illness BUT many people suffer of mental illness and they dont go around murdering people, so there was intent and premeditation on his part. Also, look at Canada, UK and other countries with strict gun laws, they dont' have crazy shootings like we do. We need more gun regulation in the US.

He was in my 2001 h.s. graduating class. I met him when I moved to Virginia near the end of the 4th grade year. We got into a fistfight a few weeks later, but quickly made amends and always treated each other respectfully after that. We went through middle school and high school together, remaining buddies. Matt Gwaltney had near limitless potential - he was a great athlete, student, and friend. He had a great sense of humor and I know he's forgiven Cho - regardless of such a disgusting act.

I am from Virginia! Matthew Gwaltney graduated from my high school! Thomas Dale High School has had SEVERAL students graduate from Virginia Tech! I know they would want me to say they will always miss you! RIP MATTHEW AND ALL 31 OTHERS

I weep for the loss of all these people, especially the young. I am 75 and I know how much they could have given to the world and how much they have been cheated from enjoying. My deepest sympathy to their families and to all their friends. The passage of time helps but the hurt does remain.
