@AcanLord i know your comment is months old, but just thought i would say that touching the float will still hurt, but it wont do any real damage

@MrGoldfishlover F( Like anybody wants to know....

@realsaraSKELLINGTON i`m not arguing with you. My thoughts were simply that you might be interested in this animals true biology, since you like this sort of thing :)
-
@AcanLord arguing with you is going to get no where. Why did you reply to me to act like such a know - it - all?
-
@realsaraSKELLINGTON Man`o war is not a jellyfish. it is a Siphonophore, but still a cnidarian just the same. You are only going to be stung if you make contact with the lower extremities. Touching the pneumatophore "the float" won`t do anything.

@AcanLord minor would mean the jelly to be dead. It still has a "minor" sting. Believe me, I am obsessed with Jellyfish, love them to death. A Portuguese Man of War has almost 30ft long tentacles. But yes you are right, I would just rather not get touched at all by one. Lol Also, it would be worse to be out in the open, because having a more wide range gives the jellyfish more room to grab you since that is similarily how jellyfish eat.

you arently likely to be killed if you simply make minor contact. the greatest danger these animals pose to humans is when they are at sea, as their is a greater chance a swimmer will be exposed to wider surface area of tentacles, Ergo A greater quantity of Venom is inncoculated.

@ahnomnomnom it DOES contain air

@i1webcam they are LARGE AND DANGEROUS. you could get killed if one touched you. and your stupid for poking and popping them.
Their were 100's of them on the beach...it could be hazardous to pick them up.
he wasn't hurting them...just filming them.
