The highlight here is that bowling show. That guy was sure emotional for a New Englander. My wife is from Connecticut, and the only emotion I've seen from her lately was when I got fired!

i have no idea why i find this audio more appealing than even watching the same stuff on YouTube, but keep it up!

love some of that WNAC stuff... and the grand old Eyewitness News tune... great stuff.. as usual!

Also . . . I seem to recall that by the time of the 1975 "Lou Gordon" airchecks, Channel 56 had already become WLVI-TV (shedding the old WKBG-TV calls in May 1974, from what I've read).

I always thought it was so cool when I'd be changing the dial on the radio and TV airwaves would come on!! Before they did away with analog TV, we use to get WITI TV6 on 89.7 here is SE Wisconsin!! I just love listening to these clips! keep them coming!! More entertaining than TV today!!!

... imagining graphics that were the fanciest money could buy back in 1975, but these days would not pass muster at a beginning aftereffects class of today... That music was part of my childhood.. I mean not that PARTICULAR music, but the same music that was purchased prepackaged by TV stations at the time.
Wonder whatever happened to all those Red Sox broadcasts mentioned that WHDH acquired, both on film and video. That material would be a gold mine for vintage baseball enthusiasts like me.

It's possible that the New England Sports Museum or New England Sports Network (NESN) acquired the WHDH sports film/tape library from WSBK-TV.

You sure that "The Movies" jingle wasn't from WBZ-TV? I seem to remember they had an umbrella under that title. . . .

While this particular version aired on WBZ-TV,"The Movies" was syndicated to other stations, too. I think the music and animation package was produced by Klein & (a creative and marketing company).
