I want you to know that you are

the best representative abroad Egypt or Arabs in general ever had .

I am so proud of you . Egypt is so proud of you . Arabs are so proud

of you . I thank you and I wish I could hug you tight out of gratitude

If I were the president of Egypt I'd grant you the highest medal of honor because

    you deserve it ya Mona.

    Your brother Moustafa Ali

  • I just met her!!!! :D

  • LOL "free Egypt poses a threat to all civilized nations"

Unless "civilized" means ruthless, unjust, murderous, racist and fascist, he is not right :)

  • @1235788888

You are so right about that.

    She is fine as hell.

  • She really knows what the hell she's talking about and dammit she's fine as hell too.

  • Hope people listen to articulate people like this Mona Eltahawy

  • Mona is the Paul Revere of her time and of her country. In order to fully understand my comment, please see "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell.

What Mona is doing is the same kind of things that Paul Revere did in the 1770s. She's a beacon, a maven, a salesman, and a respected member of her community. She cuts a wide swath thru many different disparate groups.

Mona Eltahawy is a champion for her people, able to focus others on the real issues.

The Berlin Wall analogy is brilliant...

  • Why? Because once upon a time a group of people came from everywhere and called themselves Zionists and through self-appointment gave themselves the right to replace an indigenous populations that have lived continuously in the land for at least 14 hundred years presenting a frivolous argument based on false religion and history. The result was land robbery, genocide, exile, and occupation. The whole world protested the human rights violations through US Resolutions and we the Americans vetoed.

  • Yes tryranny must be destroyed. Human rights for ALL people. But why can't the PEOPLE just deal with each other? Arabs, Jews, Egyptians, Americans, etc.....Why does there have to be an Anti anybody? For Jews and Arabs it's been OVER 2000 years, yes it's been politicized in the past 60 years, but it is an OLD grudge. This would be like ALL Christians HATING ALL Italians b/c Romans fed them to the lions, or ALL African Americans HATING ALL whites b/c of slavery, etc, etc. Such a waste of energy.

  • Tyranny must be destroyed in all forms and modes. Now the question: is Zionism a form of tyranny? Is racism and exclusion a good idea for humanity, in particular for Arabs and Jews of historic Palestine? Why can not we understand that despite our cultural differences and ethnic backgrounds, we still could co-exist as one nation with equal rights yet different personal pursuit? What is wrong with that? I did not say Mona was a liar...only intimidated unfortunately.
