  • stop giving out valuable info us pickers have enough compitition in the jewelry business as it is dont educate uneducated people and let the educated buy the jewelry at low prices not all signed pieces are valuable monet is not really a great brand either buy jewelry in lots cheap of someone who wants to get rid of it and then piece it out dont buy monet unless you like it for you it does not sell for more than a couple bucks!

  • monet = not valuable. bakelite = not one of the earliest plastics made, try gutta percha.

  • She is annoying in that she doesn't divulge what do look for. NOT all signed pcs r gr8 value and Monet is among the least sought after bec it's mass produced & still in production. Pcs from the 60s are collectible in their own right. Look 4 Miriam Haskell, Hobe, Carl Art, Trifari, Alice Caviness, Sherman, Vendome, Mazer, Juliana styles are also VERY HOT like Deliza & Esther. . . . There are more. Early Haskell & D&E r not signed.

A good indication of quality is czech or poured glass.

  • Oh lord. Here we go again. Bakelite is STILL being made today and it's collectible in its own right. Don't test it the way she does, because it can damage the piece. The best thing to do is either use forumula 409, wright's cream, or semichrome polish with a q-tip. Make sure you wash it asap. Also, some pieces may not test, so make sure you do the smell test. Rub the piece vigorously and it will emit a formaldehyde odor. This is a good sign. On bangles also look for a waxy rim. It is also good.

  • Here are some free mobile phone apps great for garage sales: MediaScanner gives fast dvd and video game prices. And Garage Sale Rover maps craigslist garage sales and gives GPS directions.

  • The word of the day is "hugely" I see! LOL

For having a PhD., she doesn't seem/appear very professional.

  • Also look for initilals cause some people would sign there piecese

  • Thank You...PammieKay
