This just shows that Anton really wasn't the horrible person during this Dig! period that the final film portrays him as. He was an incredible songwriter, and I think that last thing sums it up so well. He just pushed his band. He wasn't being an asshole, there was a final product he and the rest of the band were reaching for, and because of Anton taking charge they were able to do an amazing record in an amazingly short period of time.
It's just so incredible.

They don't only record "Not if you were the last Dandy." They also record other songs. "Give It Back" is the album where they are all on.
