Call of Duty 4: TV station on veteran - killer tactics

You move around their flank. Inflict an initial blow to their numbers. Cover the area moving from left to right with the sniper rifle, covering an arc, taking out the enemies on the balcony, then move around the outside, imagine it is a ring, move around the outside, the outside should be clear of enemies and your flank is not exposed. - because if you are inside that ring - you are in the killing zone, you would be surrounded, enemies from any angle - especially from the balcony, they have a clear shot if you're in that middle area. Instead move around the outside and work your way around killing anything, then move in on anything left alive inside the ring. This tactic shows up the limitations of the enemy AI. It only has so many variables in its tactics - even on veteran. It is heavily reliant on grenades to force (flush) you out from your cover position. But when you go on the offensive, heavily armed with the SAW (its numerical advantage is lost), using speed and a barrage of grenades and flash bangs, if executed properly, the enemy has virtually no chance of stopping you. The enemy is at its strongest, only if you let it fortify its positions. That is why so many people struggle on the tv station. Their tactics are flawed, and they try their best to complete this mission - but they are at a disadvantage all the way through. If the tactics are flawed from the start, then it's an uphill battle all the way. With this tactic I've used, others can follow it, but it still has to be well executed to succeed. My specs are: Pentium 4 CPU 3.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 256MB ATI Radeon X300 graphics card. Recorded using Fraps.

very nice video-that spot was very difficult since there are a lot of enemies in a small place with lot of things around making it easier for them to take cover and have you suppressed!!

This video was the 1st time when I got my new tactics right for this. After I did this, I quickly wrote down my thoughts on this. So that I would be clear on what to do next time. I had such a clear understanding of exactly what was involved - the layout of the area, the enemies on the balcony, the areas to be used as cover. I even drew a little diagram :P

It just goes to show, how far effective tactics can take you - if your actions are well executed.
