This was from June 6th,1998. Fortune was opening for John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band at Boston's City Hall Plaza. Beatlejuice keyboardist Steve Baker was with us for a year and a half, nice job recreating Chicago's horn section!

  • While the band does sound great... you can't even consider being a Chicago tribute band without an actual horn section. It's the whole signature of the band! They keyboards don't cut it.

  • For that matter, we aren't even a cover band...we have to play covers because it's the only way to make money playing music in the Boston area!

  • Great version, but all it does is make me miss Terry Kath. :(

  • I'm in agreement there! Terry was one of the greatest and most underappreciated singer/guitarists in rock history, as far as I'm concerned. He's been gone 30 years, but for all the records they sold since then, Chicago was never the same.

  • Nice rendition, but nobody sings Make Me Smile like the late, great Terry Kath.

  • Absolutely! Terry Kath was a great singer and phenomenol guitarist, it's a shame that he's not as well known as he should be.

  • Very good band!

  • @NachyoLulz5596

    Lousy record companies.

  • This was GREAT. Too bad you covered the bullshit shortened version 'stead of the full version.

  • i was blown away watching this video, your version of "make me smile" just kicked so much ass, everybody is on point, the vocals "POWERFUL" just make me want to punch a hole in the wall thats how great you guys sound just pure talent...OOPS too late i punched the wall...damn!.

  • Great job guys. Rocking hard to a great band Chicago.

  • Awesome cover! Yes i'm in a cover band, but unlike some of the haters out there, you gotta give props. to these guys cause they deserve it. Really great cover!

  • wheres the trumpet T^T

  • This guy has a nice and powerful voice!

The cover is indeed very good!

  • Buen cover¡¡¡

  • @Quovatimus Ok, this answer is two years too late...but this was on City Hall Plaza in Boston...across the street from Quincy Mahhhket. Eagle put on a bunch of free shows during the summer of '98, and Fortune opened for most of them...with one slightly drama-filled exception.
