In the Garden

The White House has grown in over two centuries by additions. To the west, to the east, underground. It can bear these additions without loss of its convivial appearance. It remains down-to-earth. Is this rather comforting image all that is desired in face of today's challenges, let alone of future developments? Can it represent a visionary approach in a changing climate, in a global economy, in the virtual world?
The next addition may rise to the sky. It may be a light ephemeral structure adding a lifted point of view. A projective object for dreams, a lively skysweeper. Or two. They can join and promote interaction. The addendum will be symbolic, one way or the other.
