I still need to experiment more with lighting, "stage" presence, camera angles, etc (I especially need to figure out why the video and audio keep becoming unsynced) - but this is about my 50th try and I'm tired of not putting anything up on YouTube, so...

well I don;t think you're an actual contralto although you could be, because you normally sing in your belt voice and everybody's belt voice has about the same range +- a few notes. what matters is where the power and control are in your range and you are DEFINITELY a Mezzo soprano in that respect. but if you trained more it's very possible that you could become a contralto...? :-D

YAY! I passed an OPERA audition... and I didn't even KNOW I was auditioning. Just out of curiosity, did they agree with you that I am a contralto??

lol do you know how much music has been actually WRITTEN for contraltos? less than 50 pieces, and most of them are by Dvorak. only ONE opera role is actually written for a contralto. they sound cool but can hardly get work. :-p you're betta of sista. ;)
