The music seems a little... off. SR-71s weren't designed to kill or bomb anything. They're reconnaissance planes. And awesome ones too. Of course, we've got satellites now... which are probably way more fuel efficient. Heh.

@STKhero lol, no, it can't fly around the world in 45 minutes. It can fly at over 3 times the speed of sound, though. I believe the record for a long flight was set in a New York - London flight - the average speed was over 2000mph, and the flight took 1 hour and 55 minutes.

wasnt this the fastest plane ever built? i live in kalamazoo michigan and they have one on display in the air zoo and it says it can fly around the world in just 45 minutes..... i cant even fly from michigan to florida in 45 minutes... more like 2 hours

To set the record straight the SR-71 is a spy plane and was used only to spy on other counties it had only a camera and did not have guns on board and was able at that time to out run any hostile force such as missiles or SAM

Tribal folk can be tought sure... But it will take a lot longer, cost a lot more money, and generally be more difficult than it would be if you were training someone from an advanced nation. This is probably why you don't see many (if any) Ethopian pilots in the I.A.F. It's not racism that keeps them out, it's all the advanced testing that weeds them out. You have to be the cream of the crop to make it into the I.A.F., and the Ethopians aren't so creamy yet... Give them time.

Yes, I am saying that Ethopians cannot be tought to fly American planes as well as Israelis, and others from more developed countries. The Ethopians live in a much older, much simpler society. They are not advanced enough in terms of education and whatnot to lend themselves to training on advanced hardware as easily as others from more advanced countries. If you have never seen a warship before, how can you expect to become as good at using one as someone who has grown up with them?
