It seems ridiculous to arbitrarily pick a word, say it to the person and their supposed to feel bad. You could just call someone a maggot. I'd feel worse if someone called me maggot instead of faggot.

@maskman07 hahaha, T-rust me, I know. I'm an English teacher in Japan. :D Quite often, I have to rethink my native language and attempt to explain why we use certain words and how they came about. Many times I'm guessing, but it seems logical. I'm even revealing things to myself that are obvious, but never took the time to think about because, as natives, we just use terms as we learn them, from other people and hope that their usage is accurate. I had to come to Japan to learn English!

Woww, what ignorance. It's called different senses of humor. Personally I like Seinfeld-- I have seen about every episode of his sitcom and his stand ups are pretty good, but my favorite comedian is Dave Chappelle-- someone you might consider to be a baraindead-bad-language comedian.
