walleva69 Certainly Duane Allman was every bit as fluent. He just didn't live long enough to put out enough records as Hendrix and the others, before his very unfortunate accident in '71.

Derek is, without question, one of today's top handful of guitar players alive in the world. He will not be upstaged for a very long time to come, as long as he stays healthy and alive. To me, he has all the best attributes of Hendrix, Dickey Betts, Robin Trower, SRV, EC, Buddy Guy and Rober Johnson. Not to mention, he brings his own chops and his own style to the stage and energizes it every time.
