CN & VIA rail action August 10 2009 Part 1

Another day of CN & VIA rail action around the Moncton area. Here are the trains in this video.

Train # 1: CN 407 rolls into Sackville while crossing the Tantramar River bridge with 8830 in the lead followed by 8832 (both SD70M-2s) hauling a good 62 cars.

Train # 2: VIA 14 flying through Dorchester and the Hotbox Detector at Mile 98 with 6402 & 6442 (both F40PH-2s). The location is near MP 97 of the Springhill sub

Train # 3: CN 407 rolling by Memramcook across Bridge Rd. next to the old Trans-Canada highway

Train # 4: CN 539 pulls out of the Franklin spur with 4810 & 4803 (both GP38-2Ws)

I've noticed that the crossbucks don't have "railroad crossing" on them, why is that?

@Jeffwecker81 well because in canada we are french and inglish country so if they said railroad crossing they would have to say it in french when in qubec.

that is what the " X " shape sign is called that you see above the flashing lights/or on just mounted on a pole. at least that's the name for them here in the States
