Wonderful tribute to a great dog of a great breed. We rescued our second bluetick in January and are delighted with her. It's amazing that these rescues are usually hunting disasters released by their hunter breeders, yet they adapt well to an indoor loving family life. Our Bebe is the sweetest silliest hound so far and is marked very similar to Belle. I'm glad you stood firm against her neglectful owner. We've also had a black & tan; gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Love that song.

Wonderful tribute to a great dog of a great breed. We rescued our second bluetick in January and are delighted with her. It's unfortunate that these rescues are usually hunting disasters "released" from their hunter breeders. Every time either one of them hears anything close to a gun shot, the cowering begins. I'm glad you stood firm against her neglectful owner. It looks like she has a fun life and a loving family. We love all coonhounds. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and song is perfect!

I've always loved this breed..Being from the South I've had a lot of experience wth them.. They are great dogs whether used strictly for hunting or as a house pet. They are loving, loyal dogs Your Belle is a beauty.. Looks like she's a lucky hound that has a great home.. I love their sound when they bay .

nice vid
What a lovely show for your girl. I have a blue tick now named Lucy who wandered in from the woods last summer and adopted us. We had our moments at first but now we love her dearly. Those little hounds are so mistreated at times by some people and when you get to know one, how can that ever happen! I LOVE LUCY as it's obvious you love Belle.

Thanks for such nice comments!! Belle was also a stray at only 10 month old. When she found us, she was unspayed (luckily not pregnant), hungry and tired. She kept showing up around the neighborhood and of course my family fell in love and took her in. When the neglectful owner was found, I informed them that they would not be getting my girl back and she's been with me ever since! I can relate to those beginning "stubborn moments" LOL but they sure were worth it :-) Enjoy your Lucy!
