How can you be happy when you spend time worrying about something (ego) that

does not even exist?

Supression is not a good way of living. However, if we don´t understand, explore and investigate our egoistic tendencies we will always be at risk at each others, because the more altruistic you get, the better your relationships are, and relatinship is life. We should all try to dissipate our egoistic actions without forcing ourselves or disciplinate ourselves rigidly. An example of this is reemplazing the benefit of one egoistic action for the same benefit on an altruistic action. :D

We can't suppress egos, but it is necessary to eliminate egos ( otherwise known as psychic adjuncts)

thats the trick of the illusion of life, even the teachers have an ego to control that sometimes gets the best of them. its up to the individual to discern what is genuine and what is incorrect from a source. I asure you that the only way you can reach complete seperation of ego is when you are not in a flesh and bones body anymore and with no need to come back
