-
lol what do u think u bought it for 10 dollars mines not over heating jus wana buy the cooling fan to be on the safe side and my ps3 to last longer hahahaha
-
does this help?
-
Yeah let buy a cheat ass fan.....that will work almost perfectly :D
-
Cheers dude was just about to buy it :)

@ChrisTripp All the vents do is get air in them then all the hot air goes out of the back the vents help it keep it cooler intercooler suck you don't need them for any ps3 unlike 360

@ChrisTripp the guy's right, PS3's fan sucks air from the top and ALSO from those vents from the USB. If u can, do the fan test and then put a piece of paper above the top vents and you'll see that it sucks air.
lol it sucks air out of it? that'l only wreck your ps3, those holes are for air to be sucked into the ps3 by the internal fan to cool it, by sucking air out it's making it hotter.

@Flightkid9 false. The air is sucked in through the vent next to the USB jacks. The air is blown out at the rear with the video/audio, ethernet and HDMI jacks. The vent at the top doesn't suck air in or blow it out.

@ChrisTripp the vents at the top are intended as an extra intake though they take in minimal air so it is pretty much undetectable.

@Flightkid9 You might be correct. But it doesn't change the fact that this product does a poor job at reducing internal temperature. If you notice that I didn't include something that is relevant to this product's performance, go ahead and let me know. Discussions like this frequently lead me to learn new things. And I always enjoy learning new things.

I dont know theres a similar one I'm gonna buy. Its like $8 so I might as well try it out. I'm sure its gotta do something at least, which is worth a try for me since I've overheated and gotten the Yellow Light of Death two fucking times.

@GameFreakTV1 that's harsh dude. I've had the same one for 3 years now, make sure it's in a well ventilated area and it should be okay. When I bought this fan I wanted to prevent any overheating but so far I haven't had any problems.
