Creation: Evolution, Intelligent Design, or both?

The Bible says the universe was created 6000 years ago, and one should just go on faith and not worry about the scientific discoveries, the big bang theory, the dinosaurs...

'Creation: Evolution, Intelligent Design, or both?' was the heading, but did I miss that evolution was mentioned?

Well a question to the uploader concerning the heading: You believe that Allah created the world so do you believe he did this at it is now or do you believe he created todays beings through "evolution"?

Thank you for your comments. In Islam, we believe God created Adam and Eve destined to descend down to Earth. The earth was created and prepared for us billions of years ago. There is no conflict between the creation of other species that "evolved", and the separate creation of mankind from Adam and Eve. The number one danger of religious belief is even when faced with overwhelming factual evidence of something, they can discard it all if it differs from their religious belief. Some day perhaps very soon, this blindness to religious dogma will put our very survial on the planet at risk.

Good point, like saying "the world is 6000 years old !" when scientific evidence shows it to be several billions of years old. This is why many people in the scientific community, college professors, and educated people who use logic and reason have embraced Islam. The distance between 2 eyes is just another eye.

The head is 3 times longer than the nose.

I am not an atheist but I have serious doubts. You can't say there is no God but believing in a God is too self serving for me. If I cannot be virtuous without thought of reward or to please some God then I am nothing. Truth and love stand on their own.

Yes... yes, there is. We share 99% of our DNA with the other apes. That's not a coincidence. We have a common ancestor. And we have virtually the same molecular machinery as everything else on the planet, right down to bacteria. That's not a coincidence, either.

There is absolutely nothing separating humans from every other organism the way you are claiming.

Interesting. It was probably unintentional (my apologies if not) however you imply that Allah is actually the underlying mathematics of the natural world and therefore it can and does shape all things. Not so far removed than the scientific explanation.
