@imax1971 i didnt say they wanted 15 anhr i said they wanted paid minimum wage for hrs they actually dont make anyth like they should and like the law says they should but without a third party making the company do that they are just left with having to put up with it! I dont mean to say that unions are perfect but there are good uses for them but we have to get rid of the greed in the unions and unfair labor practices of companys like hers! give me another option! they only want it fair!!

@panjok2 Ok, let's take your scenario... Let's make the diner where she works a union shop. Now the waitresses, bus boys and the greeter now make 15 bucks an hour (quadrupling overhead for the owner) ... Do you know whats going to happen to that diner? You guessed it, raise it's prices!!! What will that do? You guessed again, cause hungry people to go somewhere else to eat! what will happen now that overhead is quadrupled and revenue is decreased? Reduce staff! Then, close up shop...

@imax1971 So in that situation you dont think she deserves to have someone like a union to stop the company from treating employees like this? Its an at will state so employees can hire and fire with no reason! Do u think she was entitled to fair pay? I didnt realize it until i had dated her but Waiters and waitress' work their ass off and big chain res. take advantage of them because they can and it's as simple as that! But I know you dont care cause you have a good job and it doesnt affect u!

@imax1971 Tell me this then.....If you had a girlfriend and she was a waitress and only made 2 dollars an hour plus tips...and when she didnt make any tips she was supposed to make minimum wage!! I dont know how many days there were where they had no business she would work 8 hours and only have about $20 dol in tips and by law she was supposed to claim $20 do & get min wage for the rest BUT if she did then the boss would cut her hours and she would only get 12 hours on the next schedule !

@imax1971 I dont think i lost anything it's just not worth talking to someone who thinks that they are the only one who deserves... or as u said... entitled to a good job ! You have probably never had a bad job and it really shows! There are a lot of jobs out there where the bosses are really horrible to their employees cause they know that the employee can't quit! Your just sheltered and have never really had hardship so how can i expect u to see it my way!

And as to why the jobs are going overseas is not just because of the unions it is because their labor is cheaper than even our non union shops and Im betting that your job won't be around either! Just because u are non-union doesnt mean shit to money hungry CEO'S so don't think u are special buddy! Your just very fucking lucky to get that pay without a union! And now i know what type of person u are!
