"uLizwi" uMthwakazi is a semi-organic and semi-electric music band producing string based music, with such instruments as musical bows (uhadi, umrhube, umakhweyana, umqangi nekatara), acoustic/electric guitar, upright/electric bass, and percussion. The music style is a fusion of African Indigenious music and influences from classical opera, choral music and jazz. It is grounded on African dance rhythms, e.g. cross rhythm and additive rhythm. In this video, they are on tour in Cape Town, Observatory, 29 November 2009. Band members include: uMthwakazi ( lead vox & uhadi), Liyo ( vox, umqangi bows and guitar), Lwanda Gogwana (trumpet), Clement Carr (saxophone), Stephen Browne (trombone), Thandi Ntuli (keyboards), Emile Duse (bass), Ras Juda (percussion) and Kurt Deidericks (drums).
