While I do not doubt that there are many good and caring people in all religions. It has always bothered me that too often 'moderates" do little beyond paying lip service when it comes to denouncing acts of violence done in the name of their faith. Wouldnt you want to set the record straight if
There is a huge elephant in the room when it comes to subject of freedom of speech and islam. Too often any attempts to criticize are met with accusations of islamophobia or bigotry.
While I wish to believe the numbers of fundamentalists in faith are just a loud minority. I cant help but wonder how much weight these vocal minorities carry within their faiths to result in such a tepid response to their all too often acts of barbarism. But insult their faith or criticize them and BANG you have protests, boycotts, and the obligatory wounded pride all over the news
Far too often they behave as if free speech is valid only when its their speech or that which they agree with. Everything else is just hate speech. I would laugh if their willful ignorance wasnt so sad.

  • It's so disappointing when I see the 'liberal left' decry arguments like the ones in this video as Islamophobic or culturally-insensitive. I'm glad there's a free-thinking/rationalist community on the internet that does not fall into conservative/liberal camps.

  • @turbozed Agreed, on some subjects i'm called liberal on others I'm called conservative. Cant I just be a rational human being who calls BS when I see it?

    thanks for watching.

  • Excellent video, Flux! We could do with more from you.

  • @ritchloui Case in point. Islam has NOTHING to do with satanism or child molesting and is not a "death cult." It's the world's 2nd-biggest religion, and its followers vary in their beliefs the same way that followers of other religions vary in theirs: true, some Muslims are extremists (like Anders Breivik), but most are much more moderate. And don't Christianity and Judaism say "worship no other gods before Me"? Also, where exactly would Muslims go if we kicked them out of "our" countries?

  • @firedryer It's simple, if people want to be a member of the death cult called Islam then they should not come to the free world and expect to carry on with their child molesting satanic practices without criticism. Islam makes its followers repeat to themselves that theirs is the only God worthy of worship. Fine, then get out of our countries.

  • Never has a majority been so disappearingly minor as that Muslim majority of peacelovers.

  • Who is he?

  • Great video .

  • that there are problems with some muslims doesnt mean that people arent bigoted against it. stereotypes are generalizations about a group based on the actions of some members of that group. decrying islam as a whole is bigoted. in the same way, decrying christianity as a whole based on polygamist sects of mormonism (the muslims who bear the brunt of islamophobia have even less in common with al qaida than christians have with the aforementioned mormon sects) is still wrong.
