Julian [Cook Street Bandits original oboe guitar]

This is a song my brother Jack and I wrote after reading Gore Vidal's novel "Julian." Our friend Ramiz, the other member of our Cook Street Bandits trio, plays the slide guitar solo. My brother does the vocals and plays oboe.

All the photographs were taken by my brother one snow-swept afternoon in Providence.

Yeah, he's one of my favorite authors.

I've read Burr, Lincoln, 1876, and Empire (I think those are all in the American Chronicle series...).

My brother and I wrote another song in response to "Lincoln" that I will try and put up when I can make a video for it.

Wow! I've never heard a song about the roman emperor haha. It's very original I love it. The guitar and singing is great. Definitely can't wait to hear the response to Lincoln!
