I've put off uploading this video for ages, since it breaks my heart to see the man - this man - struggle with the tropical climate, excessive heat, and age (not too much of that, though)

However, John is no God. As this song puts it, he's only man. I've always believed that recognising the frailty of being human is as much a part of our existence as recognising the awesome-ness of our God.

So here it it. The one time where John Schlitt couldn't finish a song.

PS - I was dying to hear this btw. I even requested this song, right before they started this - which freaked out both John AND his bassist, Pete Ortega. :D Made my day.

oh bless his heart! i dont blame him man, he has been singing/belting out for years! The Good News!  When i saw him last wknd, he was blowing his voice a bit then, think he said the music mite of been overpowering his mic tho. I think i would blow my voice in the 3rd song or so if i could sing like him.

Hey! No offense to you, but John didn't quit this due to his age. Lol. :)

He was physically unable to get through it, cos of the heat. I've been born and brought up in Chennai, and the heat was unbearable for me, even. For a person from a MUCH MUCH colder climate, you can imagine. It was a wonder he got through what he DID get through.

Also, u can actually see the sweat droplets falling off of him in this video... He'd been pouring sweat ever since he got onstage. Poor guy. Really felt bad
