Inspired by Dan's ideas I tried this one .
later i realized that the check valve gave way to the air but some how the momentum of the flywheel keeps it going ... that's why its going slow... in some way its good because my flywheel was out of wood..

  • What's the point?

  • @KenMacMillan

its not that useful but maybe it helps the backyarder know how to make a cheap steam engine from scavenged stuff. maybe running a solar steam engine

its not the best because the sterling is better but when you play around with this stuff you learn the concepts

you never know one of these backyarders will invent something amazing.

  • Hi move the check valve closer to the engine, the shorter the hose the faster the response.

  • @maco10810 yes that's true, the less the hose length the less the back pressure

  • Good work dude what speed does it run at?

  • thanx , its very slow because it was faulty... the check valve was not working properly it was giving way..... i realized it later..... if the check valve is good it would go alot faster
