So one day I was sitting in one of my Steam Group's chat room when someone started talking about Left 4 Dead map making. Someone said "Hey, you should make Doom maps for L4D." And the more I thought about it, the more I thought it would be easy...so I tested out making the famous Doom map, E1M1 in Hammer. 3 days later, here's what I got. Hopefully you like it as me and a friend might go ahead and make the rest of them as well.

  • @DannyEastes Nope. Google for it, there's a few E1M1 maps out there that were made before this video was 2 years ago.

  • @ziccoo123 Yeah. I just chose E1M1 because that's what I was thinking at the time :P

  • @link5427yum Sorry about full bright. But I didn't have lights added because it was really just a quick level design. I haven't really worked on much since then. I've done 2 TF2 maps, one of which hasn't been seen by anyone. The other is pl_2way which is floating around on FPS banana if you look hard enough. I tried linking but YouTube didn't like it.

    I'm not working on it any more though, since it's been done better.

  • have you tried replicating maps from other games? like zelda ocarina of time?

    because i would love to play left 4 dead with some of the puzzles from zelda.

  • How about making Left 4 Dead in the Doom engine? That would be pretty awesome.

  • I tried to do this, but I got bored and started changing too much of the level... then I realized there wasn't really much of a point because I was changing the level too much!
