Gary Lucas @ Tuli Kupferberg Benefit, St Ann's Warehouse 1/22/10

Here Gary Lucas ("A Modern Guitar Miracle"-- Rolling Stone) performs solo acoustic his "Song for Tuli" at an all-star benefit for the co-founder of legendary NY rockers The Fugs. Produced by Hal Willner, the sold-out show at St. Ann's Warehouse Brooklyn raised $40,000 towards Tuli's medical expenses. Also joining Gary were Peter Stampfel, David Amram, John Zorn, Sonic Youth, Lenny Kaye, Phillip Glass, Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson, Ed Sanders, Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers, John Kruth, Elliot Sharp, Dan Zanes, Penny Arcade, Christine Ohlman, Janine Nichols' Flutterbox, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, Lenny Picket, Kim Rancourt, Don Fleming and many other NYC luminaries. Special thanks to Susan Feldman of Arts at St. Anne's for bringing so much amazing music to NYC for so many years.
