Here's a tiny clip from the funniest TV series ever shown. It's the Telegoons....a puppet version of the Goon Show. Even funnier (in my opinion) than the Goon Shows, the Telegoons are something of a legend, having never been shown on TV since their original outing on BBC TV.
This first clip features almost the whole cast: Henry Crun, Neddy Seagoon, Gritpype-Thynne, Dennis Bloodnock, Moriarty, Bluebottle and Eccles.....all preparing for "The Ascent of Mt. Everest".
Enjoy............
ps Your comments, suggestions, ratings etc will be much appreciated.

Thankyou, steaming Ned, for posting this genuine classic. Takes me back to saturday teatimes in 1963, goggling at the black and white, steam driven TV, at all my faves. Long live the "Famous Eccles".......................(and Sabrina!)

@raymondlang Hahah that's a good statement! I know that about the channel I only wish I was in Britain or i had cable to watch it!But I'll definately buy the dvd when it's out!

@ThePythonfan
It's not out, but I keep checking with Amazon, so I can replace my video copy I did years ago when it was on Ch. 4.
There should be a tv channel that caters just for vintage shows from 50s to say 1985 and sod the rest off.
Anyone easily offended by political correctness of old comedy shows need not watch, like I don't watch any modern day show.

I think the Telegoons were funnier than the radio show, and Sellers has nailed the voice of Major Bloodnock bang on in the tv series.
Just watched all the episodes on my 2 disc DVD, and have never laughed so much in all my life..well since I last saw Peter Sellers in THE PARTY.
Kids today would never understand the genius of these masters of comedy, that's why tv has been crap for the past 20 something years..and it's getting worse!
