Funky groove from short-lived UK group, Skinny. This track made it to #31 on the UK's single's chart in 1998 and was used as incidental music / music bed for many TV programmes at the time including the BBC's coverage of the 1998 Commonwealth Games. An hitherto undiscovered Dido performed backing vocals for the group at the time.
Went to see them 3 times with my sis....gig cancelled each time....the bus just didn't stop

In 1999 I bought a used promotional copy of the weekend for $.99 at a used record store in Dayton Ohio and fell n love with it. Since it was a promo t only had a purple sticker that said "Skinny the Weekend" and little other information. I have tried several times in the past 14 years to find out more about Skinny and always turned on nothing until about 5 minutes ago. I've waited long enough. Post more detail people...

@Avinashda Cool :) thanks for the heads' up both on the identity him, and introducing me to a new musician. looking at pictures of the two, there is a resemblance, but maxi is much gaunter than dave. i take it then he was a friend of the band or at least some members? did they collaborate?
