  • thanks for the tip... but i tried it and i can't let go of the brake and then pedal kick and then pull the brake again in the time that im in the air... as i can only hop about 2-3inches

  • when your rear wheel start dropping, give your pedals a light punch after releasing the rear brake. after the small punch hold the brake again. also it is a matter of balance, when you do it more often you will se that the wheel wont drop a lot or wont drop at all. what you want to reach is a point in which you are in perfect balance, so you dont need to punch your pedals but instead do a small hop with your body, forward backwards or whatever side you ned to hop to;) give it a try and lemi know

  • hi mate,

i was just on my bike and i can now do one rear wheel hop... after ive pulled the wheel in the air i can hop once but then when i land i cant stop the front wheel fromdropping down... and i can't work out how to stay on the back wheel and hop again... do you know what im doing wrong????

  • makes perfect sense! in fact there are a lot of people who do a sidehop the wrong way, but they have got used to it over time. I think that there are no rules to trials the if the way you do something works than continue doing it! besides once in a while you have to re-learn a technique because you feel that it is better to do it another way, this is hard but if you try hard you will get better at it!

ps I made this account to help ppl so helping you is my job;) haha but I dont get paid:(

  • thanks... (sorry for all the comment but ur reely helpful) i read this thing today about how practice can make perfect but it can make permanent... what i mean by that is that if i learn how to do a skill wrong and then a trialer says nono do it this way... my muscles will stop me from doing it and make me the way i lernt it... muscle memory.... do you think that makes sense or its just a load of shite?

  • nope sorry dude, I asume you live in england? since it is on ur utube profile:P and I live in Holland so I can't really help you... try looking for forums and in that way meet up with people so you can learn new things! and just keep on riding

  • do you know whether there are like any clubs or meeting for begginer trialers to help me get better?

  • nono certainly not, I'm just another trialer u can see my own vids on my accound (ARM vids are mine) there are also some meetings and a few vids of my friends;) and well I uploaded these vids to try and help people to get better at trials... so good luck m8
