  • Phil's voice is REAL!!!!! you dont have to stretch yourself to feel what he's feeling. I played this song for my 8yr old daughter, and she cried. When I asked her why she said "he looked, and sounded so sad", and she hoped "Darling" didn't leave him. and johns playing sounded like his heart was breaking. truly the greatest.

  • This song is really not show off sykes playing.

John Sykes is one of the most underated guitarist of the last 20 years.

  • I've met him 5/6 times.1st couple of times he was great, but most recently he was STROPPY practically ignoring us!

  • @dannyjingu I met him. And yes, he IS an asshole.

  • @GeorgeHarrison66 Any man who can write songs as beautiful as the ones on John Sykes' Loveland album can NOT be an asshole. Maybe a hopeless romantic that is frustrated, but he is nor ever will be an asshole.

  • @GeorgeHarrison66 not sure when you met John, but after a Thin Lizzy show some time back I spoke to John for quite a bit of time, he finally said, why don't we find the bar and have a beer where we continued our conversation; John could not have been cooler.

  • This is essentially as a Thin Lizzy song...Just with out Scot Gorham. Scott and John Sykes are so awesome. This song is so sweet. I can hear it a thousand times and never tire of it.

  • @Rixx5637 lots of rockstars probably do !

  • All this talk about Sykes and Moore were assholes and Robertson had no discipline I find a bit annoying...Hey Lizzy were the boys and the boys meant trouble, they wouldn't have been Thin Lizzy if they were a bunch of mama's boys. Every member deserves appreciation for the time they spent with the band. Can't really say anything bad about Lizzy except that Philo and Gary are gone. R.I.P.

  • @blackwater1965 Actually, if you think about it, it really does show off his ability to play in a band. He's got all that skill and talent and the knowledge of when to pour it on.
