Tourist Trap

An animation I commited along with Jorge Maldonado on workshops at Zlin Film School. My first ever confrontatation with puppet animation.
I wrote the story, co-wrote the "script", storyboarded it, designed the characters and did the animation. Additionally I sculpted the puppets' heads and smashed a Japanese student's years worth of a master thesis to mangled spraypainted bits so I could make a pretty background from it.

From a technical standpoint (conceptual too, for that matter), the short's horrible - shaky camera, revealing mistakes... but for something put together in a couple of days and shot in a day and a half (and this being my first attempt at stopmotion ever) I don't think it's that bad.

Kudos to the Zlin Film School Workshop people!
