This year I don't want no Christmas gift I don't need no Christmas tree. All i want is for this year to be long gone.
'Cause baby i've seen better. better than this. But i don't think that I've seen worse.
Next year i will try not to put my heart in peril,

Next year i will try to forget about the tears that I cried this year.
I don't want to sound ungrateful, and i don't want to be the one that brings you down.
but compare and contrast all we lost with what we found.
And i think it's a goddamn miracle that I'm sticking around.
