12/21/05 -- Driving over 'pigeon pass' on Hwy 84 from Livermore to Sunol. This was before they changed the route to 4 lanes with shoulders. Back then it was like a little racetrack, with very little margin for error (or chance) at speed. Of course in the morning commutes it completely sucked, the new way is much better for that.. And if a truck stalled at the wrong place (which happened to me while doing a delivery for Astro Business supplies, the one time I was out with my boss Pete) it was basically a roll of the die if you decided to pass.
One night I was coming back the other way and had this Porsche 911 turbo behind me (that looked brand new). No one else was on the road so the 2 of us drove nice and brisk through the curves: fast but not quite dangerous. The dude was so awesome: he didn't ride my ass or try to pass in some stupid place, gave a good amount of space, but kept up (easily of course). When he took a left into the gated community after the hill he sped up beside me before his left at the light and gave a short report of the horn. Friendly; enjoys driving for the sake of driving, with nothing to prove or the slightest hint of insecurity. It was an awesome experience that I savored for weeks after.
Lol!! Oh, how I miss driving this car. I moved to Europe; I haven't driven a car for about a year and a half now....

@rjaesayshello It's a 1972 Datsun 240Z. It had a 5spd transmission which allowed me to labour up the hill in one gear while holding the camera! :P

@rjaesayshello
That's what makes it kinda kinda cool (I think): I scoured my files after they made the main overpass to find something from before - this is an 8mm
