Not a V8. It's a 2.2L turbocharged 4. Top speed around 155.
And the dude who shot this is a moron. Idiots like him with their cellphone cameras hanging out the window are the cause of major accidents. No wonder the Lotus driver wanted to get the hell away from him.

LOL!!!! dude how on earth could you think that your Dodge could be faster than the Lotus!!??? that Esprit is way beyond it's time for performance,handling,horsepowe
r etc...... and of course fuckin coolness!!! Lotus was so smart and brilliant!!! they were able to get a perfect turbo and i know it took alot of trial and error!! but when the turbo was finished Lotus had done for the most part what was thought to be impossible!!! -

i will say it was one of the better looking ones i have a 83 esprit in gold (#38 of 50 made) the only thing that sucks about the car is the wire harness the relays for the whole car are by the drivers headlight where water just happens the get. Oh yeah and the hand brake on the left side makes it hard to get out of the car when its up
